Cancellation of Masterclasses 2020

Dear friends of the International Kalamata Music Days,

As you are aware, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is turning out to be highly straining for our societies. Unfortunately, the situation is drastically affecting culture and artists.

Due to uncertainty regarding the development of the crisis and to the newest political decisions being made in Greece, we regret that we must cancel this summer’s masterclasses. This is a decision we have not taken lightly, but the current circumstances are giving us no alternative. Musicians who have already applied will of course get their application fees refunded as soon as possible.

We will try our best to reorganise a part of this summer’s concert programme later in the year. It is a difficult task, but as concert organisers we are aware of our important role for performing musicians. Among continuing our contribution to culture and arts, we are obliged to protect and maintain the existence of live concerts, and to continue supporting musicians and artists through this difficult period. We are also investigating alternative ways of hosting live events.

We are devoting our efforts to find possible solutions. You will hear again from us very soon!
