TRI i DVE, a multicultural ensemble of five musicians from Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, and Japan, has found its artistic home in Lausanne. The name, meaning “three and two” in Bulgarian, reflects not only the asymmetry of Balkan rhythms but also the group’s versatility in combining duos, trios, and quintets in diverse ways. Rooted in classical training, the ensemble blends Romani, Klezmer, and Balkan music with classical compositions and a variety of traditional instruments. TRI i DVE has captivated audiences at prestigious festivals such as Vivacello Liestal, Boswiler Musiksommer, the Schubertiade, and Lavaux Classic, and has performed widely in England, France, Germany, and Italy. Collaborations with renowned artists, including Nebojsa Zivkovic, the EVA Quartet, Wynne Evans, and Michel Tirabosco, further enrich their artistic path. Recently, they premiered Images Balkaniques by Nathan Stornetta, written especially for the ensemble alongside the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden and Sinfonietta de Lausanne. 3i2.info
