Municipal Conservatory & Philharmonic Amphitheatre of Kalamata
July 25 – 30, 2023
The violin, viola and chamber music masterclass with Pablo Hernán Benedí will be held from July 25 until July 30, 2023, in rooms of the Municipal Conservatory and the Philharmonic Amphitheatre of Kalamata.
This masterclass gives the opportunity to young violinists, violists and ensembles to develop their musical and technical skills whilst also assisting them to reach their personal goals. Musicians and ensembles preparing for exams, competitions or auditions are of course welcome. Through a small group, the Festival is cultivating an inspiring and friendly environment for the best possible development of each musician. At the same time, the masterclass participants have the chance to appear frequently together on stage, invigorating as a result the international artistic exchange, inspiration and musical dialogue of the International Kalamata Music Days. The concerts will be held in Kalamata.
The masterclass with Pablo Hernán Benedí is aimed at young violinists, violists and ensembles from all around the world and of all ages – from those aiming to study music to students and graduates of conservatories and music universities. The masterclasses will be open to the broader public. Students of the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata (including students other than violinists and violists) are invited to attend and get inspired.
Already existing chamber music ensembles (for example duets, piano trios, string quartets etc.), that are interested in participating in the masterclass are very welcomed.
Lesson languages: English and Spanish.
The cost of active participation in the violin and/or viola masterclass is 300 € per person. Participation in the chamber music masterclass costs 350 € per ensemble.
An active participation in the masterclass is only possible after application through the website and admission by the tutor.
Application deadline: June 25, 2023!
